In this story, Powell's Arthur Zouch character, a painter, exhibits his self-centered approach to life as he visits the Passenger family in their home in the English countryside. An undated copy, probably published c.1968. This work first published in England in 1933 by Duckworth. --- In blue textured paper-covered boards with spine titling in black. Dust jacket features John Alcorn image of an easel holding a portrait of a woman. --- With toning to endpapers and minor soiling to lower textblock edge, else a tightly-bound, unmarked, sound copy.
