Edinburgh: Adam and Charles Black, 1851. Book. Good. Hardcover. Second Edition. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. Title continues: [all capitals] "...embracing the experience of an eight years' residence; views of the present state, progress, and prospects of the colony; with detailed and practical information for intending emigrants." xxxii, 468pp + 2p publisher's catalogue; folding map at the front (in very good condition). The covers are worn and lightly soiled, the spine cloth is chipped at the head, and the endpaper over the front hinge is cracked but leaving the hinge secure. The name of a former owner appears neatly in ink to the top of the half-title page; otherwise a nice clean copy..
