A bright, clean copy considering the quality of the publication. very good On Thursday, December 6th, 1917 Halifax was devasted by the explosion of the SS Mont-Blanc (French cargo ship). Loaded with war-time explosives, the SS Mont-Blanc collided with the SS Imo in the Halifax Harbour. With over 9,000 injured, and 2,000 deaths - this catastrophe is still thought of as the world's largest accidental explosion. 1917
