About This Item

This is a first US edition of The Village in England, which was originally published (in the UK) as The Village in History. It is a serious social history which includes the effects of political changes and wars. There is a section on geographic areas and sections on barns, farms, churches and furniture.
There's at least one photograph and/or illustration on every page.

197 pages. 8" x 11"

There's a tear in the dust jacket which has been taped.
And the book was improperly stored all of these years, so there's a bend in the pages--not a crease, and the cover is perfect. This book does not appear to have been read and is otherwise pristine.
