Includes 100 illustrations: drawings, floor plans, initials and vignettes." The book was published with the intention of being a sequel to the work of Andrew Jackson Downing, the American landscape designer. Today the work will interest not only architectural and cultural historians, but those who seek attractive tiny or small house design alternatives. (Note chapters titled "Cottages of One Story," "Cottages of One Story and Attic," "Farm Houses," "Hill-side Cottages" and even "Double Cottages" for those interested in side-by-side two-family small homes!) Several larger homes are also represented. This soft cover is clean, totally unmarked, firmly bound. Page edges slightly toned but interior pages are not affected.
