The Vimanmek Mansion is believed to be the world's largest existing builiding made entirely of golden teakwood. It was built by King Rama V (King Chulalongkorn). This publications explores the history of the construction of Vimanmek. Currently the mansion is a museum of King Rama V's era, displaying the King's collection: of porcelain and cloisonné, as well as tusks, horns, antlers and walking sticks (second floor); crystal ware, pentachrome, and nielloware (third floor)..
