About This Item

New York: Moore-McCormick Lines, 1952. Wraps. Illustrated paper wraps. Very good. 12 x 9 in. Christmas dinner menu and program for the members and guests of the New England Export Club, Inc. The Moore-McCormack Lines was a series of companies operating as shipping lines, operated by the Moore-McCormack Company, Incorporated founded in 1913 in New York, USA. It ceased trading on its buy-out in 1982. The founders were Albert V. Moore and Emmet J. McCormack, with Mr Molloy. From a small start with one ship, SS Montara, inaugurating a run from the USA to Brazil, the shipping line expanded to become a major US line operating around the world. From 1938 Moore-McCormack ran the "Good Neighbor Fleet" liners Uruguay, Brazil and Argentina between New York and the east coast of South America. Some items on the dinner menu include; Vegetable Soup, Roast Stuffed Turkey, String Beans, and Ice Cream. Color illustrated cover. Closed tear to cover.
