About This Item

New York: Farrar, Straus and Cudahy, 1960. First Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine. Octavo. 5.5 x 8.25 in. 242 pp. Near fine in original red marbled boards and grey cloth binding, with a near fine illustrated dust jacket that has faint tanning on the spine and gentle shelf wear. A previous seller crossed through the $3.75 price on the dust jacket and wrote "$1.69" underneath. The binding is firm and the text is clean and free of foxing, though the exterior edges have faint spotting. This edition simply states "Copyright (c) 1955, 1960 by Flannery O'Connor," indicating true first edition status.
