Los Angeles: Ward Ritchie Press, 1954. First edition. One of only 300 copies printed. Compiled and with foreword by Robinson Jeffers. Recounts the Jeffers' family trip to Ireland in 1929 with entries by Una, husband Robinson, and sons Donnan & Garth. This was the trip that started Robinson Jeffers working on the series of poems that became DESCENT TO THE DEAD. Designed by Ritchie; wood-cut title page engraving by Paul Landacre (also appears at head of p.9). 8vo marbled green paper boards; black cloth spine with printed label. Near fine with faint offset on title page and spine label a little toned and very lightly rubbed. In original glossy black paper-covered slipcase which is intact but rubbed on all edges and showing some light chipping at corners.
