The head & tail of the spine & the bottom edge of the front wrap are chipped. 206 & [1] pages plus colophon. Illustrated with 12 black-and-white plates.. The inside wraps are darkened with a glue stain down the front edge of the inside front wrap. The contents are bright & clean. Good. <p>First trade edition. A title in the publisher's series "Collection Montagne". The text is in French.<p>From the library of George Alan Smith with his signature on the front endpaper. Smith was an arts consultant and mountain climber.
