This is a Very Good copy of the First American Edition [stated]. A scarce early American imprint - with some issues. Volume One only of the original two. Leather binding with the spine repaired with tape. Clean text; vi, 344 pages; some foxing and lightly toned. The front cover and several of the pages are present but they have separated; the rear cover is cracked but held by the repaired spine. [Please note the condition issues; Quercus must offer this book as a Binding Copy, in need of repair or restoration]. First American Edition.. Disbound.
