Edinburgh and London: William Blackwood and Sons, 1906. hardcover. fair. Hardcover in fair condition, no jacket. Binding complete, not tight. Spine discoloured/darkened and rubbed, titling only visible as embossing. Boards quite rubbed and edgeworn, chips and tears around spine board, cardboard exposed along board edges. Board edges bumped. Page block edges foxed/browned, fore-edge deckled, top edge gilt, faded. Foxing throughout text, illustration pages mostly clean. Half-title page loose but complete. Gift dedication in ink, neat to half-title page. Fold-out map very torn but complete.
