Small octovo hardcover in fine light-brown cloth cover with circled illustration inside hatches, peace piple and lacross stick, tight binding : square and straight, pages clean and unfoxed, untorn, interesting inscription on title page: "To Capt. Payne, a copy in my posession...Canadian history in the library of your HOME...from ________. " Graded VG++ in VG-, DJ which has small tears but looks great in clear mylar jacket protector. This "masterpiece" of Canadiana, about Pontiac whom the famous Francis Parkman called "the Satan of this sylvan paradise", the same Satan for whom the modern Pontiac cars is named. Too many ironies to contemplate, however this is a good read and looks great on the shelf. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 434pp pages; in the library of your .
