"The unvarnished account of submarine combat life and shore leave escapades by the Yeoman of this famed but ill-fated ship"; under "Mush" Morton, the Wahoo sunk more Japanese ships than any other submarine at the time, before failing to return from its seventh cruise - the author, present on the ship's previous four cruises, had left for additional training just before. Hardcover in jacket, as pictured; the stated second printing, in the same year as the first. Light wear to book, minor bumping to corners; jacket edgeworn with some chips, creases, short tears, hint of spine fade, ink note on flap. Text clean; ix, [3], 210 pages, 8 b/w photo plates. .
