John Sanford" is the name of the protagnonist of the novel published in 1933 in The Water Wheel, by Julian Shapiro, and Shapiro took on the pseudonym then and there. Fine-looking, structurally sound hardcover, little discernible wear to the printed, decorated covers beyond forward cock to spine, else with a bright interior, unmarked. Published in Santa Rosa, California, by the Black Sparrow Press, 1989, bound in an Imperial Octavo format. Measures 6 1/2" wide by 9" tall. Good-looking, brown and oatmeal cloth with lettered decorative paper-covered boards; transparent stiff glassine Mylar wrapper, as issued. [14], 15-322 [4] pp. including a black-and-white photograph of Shapiro.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
