Smith, Elder, & Co., 1883. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1883. No edition remarks. 484 pages. No dust jacket. Black decorated cloth boards with gilt. Includes black and white maps. Pages remain clear with minimal tanning and foxing, mild to end-papers and text-block edges. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout however binding remains reasonably firm. Annotations and marginalia to occasional pages. Title page clipped at the top edge. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends with small splits to cloth at the head. Minor loss of cloth to front board bottom edge.
