The first 100 years of Wallowa County, Oregon, are remembered in this reprint of Wallowa County Centennial, originally published on dark newsprint in 1987 as a special edition of the Wallowa County Chieftain. Also included is an excerpt from Oregon End of the Trail, a 1940 WPA project. We have adjusted the page size to 8.5 x 11" and printed it on white 60# paper. Spiral bound into a booklet with a 3-color cover printed on 80# card stock and protected with a vinyl sheet, it will make a nice durible memento. Articles and advertisements from early newspapers, colorfully tell the story of Wallowa County and the towns of Enterprise, Joseph, Lostine, Imnaha, and Wallowa.
