WARMLY INSCRIBED BY WALTER GROPIUS AT HARVARD IN 1955 TO RENOWNED BOSTON ARCHITECT PAUL GRAYSON, A STUDENT OF GROPIUS'S AT HARVARD'S GRADUATE SCHOOL OF DESIGN (WHERE GROPIUS HAD CHAIRED THE ARCHITECTURE DEPARTMENT). A sharp, very well-preserved copy to boot of the 1954 1st American edition. Tight and VG+ (1955 Harvard bookplate of Paul Grayson affixed to the front pastedown, a bit of abrading just above it) in a crisp, Near Fine dustjacket, with just a touch of wear to the front flap-fold and very light soiling along the rear panel. Quarto, the wonderful dustjacket design by Herbert Bayer.
