bosalsburg, PA: Bearmanor Media, 2003. Softcover. Fine. Glossy illustrated softcovers. Signed by author Charles Stumpf on the half-title page. Fine, with a tiny bump upper corner. 199 pp. + index. Chronology of radio appearances 1930-38 and other radio appearances. Illustrated with vintage photos and reproductions. Walter Tetley (1915-1975) was the quintessential kid voice of radio. He began his career in the early 1930s (he was the voice of Felix The Cat in three cartoons in 1936) and lasted until radio's final years of dominence in the 1950s. He was best known for his voive impersonations on "The Great Gildersleeve" and "The Phil Harris-Alice faye Show" as well as for voice overs in cartoons and comercials; later he would be the voice of Sherman in the "Mr. Peabody" cartoons.
