London, Macmillan & Co., 1879 new edition. Hardback, 9 x 6 inches. In green cloth with decorative cover, black and gilt designs and gilt lettering to front and spine. Top page edges gilt. Brown endpapers. In very good condition. Some minor handling marks to boards, corners slightly bumped and rubbed, a couple of small nicks to bottom of spine. Front endpapers cracked. “Burn & Co.” binders label to rear. Some mild foxing to prelims and pages throughout. No penned inscriptions. Else a very clean and tight copy. 520pp. 100 b&w illustrations within text.
