Introduction and Afterword by Hamlin Hill. 79pp. Frontis portrait, 2 plates from early photographs, 2 facsimiles. Green printed wrappers. A very fine copy. This Twain story, Wapping Alice, is printed here for the first time, together with three letters to Olivia Clemens. Another story, The McWilliamses and the Burglar Alarm (first published in Harper's, 1882) is also included, as well as portions of the Twain's autobiographical dictation of April 10, 1907..

About Argonaut Book Shop

The Argonaut Book Shop was founded in 1941 in the middle of the financial district of San Francisco. The Argonaut was a founding member of the Antiquarian Booksellers\' Association of America and has been a member in good standing ever since. The Shop is now located just three blocks from Union Square in downtown San Francisco and is open six days a week. Parking facilities include ample street space and a parking garage close by.
