About This Item
From the back DJ cover: "The British Royal Navy was as big as the rest of the world's fleets combined. But in the summer of 1812, that didn't stop a handful of American sloops and frigates from challenging it yardarm to yardarm. This is the stirring story of how, in one dramatic ship duel after another, they broke the spell of British invincibility at sea, which marked the coming-of-age of the U.S. Navy.
Book - Near Fine condition. Maroon textured paper over boards with white compass graphic on front and white text on spine. Beautiful marbled end papers. Minimal wear to bottom edges/corners. Clean and tight.
Dust Jacket - Very Good- condition. Top edge has a "crinkle" on the left side of the front. Slight edge wear and tiny tear at bottom corner.
