Dust jacket with minor wear at the top edge.323 pp and index.Covers life of General Carr from pre-civil war in the west to end of the Indian wars at the turn of the century. Served in the 5th Cavalry and fought at Summit Springs, the 1876 Sioux War made famous by the Custer massacre, fought Arizona Apaches, Cibicu Creek, and the Ghost Dance leading to Wounded Knee.
