The personal experiences of an American infantry soldier of the 10th Mountain Division in WWII. He recounts the final skirmishes against the retreating German Army. A very personal reminiscence by one who saw a lot. Inscribed to a comrade, "For John Breau, who was my friend in war and who continues to be my friend, in peace. May we never have to fight together again. John T. Bassett, Napa California, November 25, 1989"
