Octavo, first edition, pp. vi, 451, blue cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine, gilt lettering and medal on front, top edge gilt, folding map of Fort Fisher. Consists of papers read by Civil War veterans at meetings of the Missouri commandery of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States, so there is a lot here about the military action in Missouri. Nevins V1, p. 131. This book is labeled Volume 1, but apparently no other volumes were released. Condition of this book Tears in cloth at top of spine, cracked hinges, overall good and clean. Shipments outside the U.S. may be subject to local taxes. Size: Octavo (standard book size). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting.
