About This Item
Toronto: McClelland, Goodchild & Stewart, 1916. 1st . Hardcover. Very Good. First printing. 12mo, dark green cloth with black titles. A Very Good copy with light wear to cloth at some tips, not worn through. Hinges intact and holding very well. Titles very legible, spine slightly faded. Internally very nice. Some minor soiling to the edges of the text block, some slightly intruding into the margins of a couple of the leaves, under 1/8". This copy has been signed on the front free endpaper "L. M. Montgomery Macdonald". The author has also added a small cat drawing below her name, as she was known to do sometimes. The original owner's name has been inked out, but "March 20, 1917. Truro, NS" survives. A scarce book, rarely found signed. Scans available.
