About This Item

London: Batsford, 1971. First Edition. Hardback. Very Good/Good. 6545 4to. Second printing. Complete in three volumes (all second printing): Volume 1, The Eighteenth Century, Volume 2, The Romantic Period, Volume 3, The Victorian Period. Coloured frontispieces, monochrome illustrations. Condition notes: All the books are in very good condition, with just slight knocking/rubbing to boards, and some fading or faint discolouration at extremities; internally clean, sound and bright. Dust jackets (none price clipped) on the whole are good rather than very good: that of Volume 1 has a small area of some damage to the back, that of Volume 3 chipped and worn at top and bottom of the spine, and all have some rubbing to the edges and some age-darkening. No inscriptions.

COVI-19 UPDATE: as Post Offices return to normal hours we can once again offer Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day as our Expedited Shipping option. We will continue to use a 3-day courier service for standard domestic deliveries. Delivery in the UK is typically within 3 days of collection from us (eg collected Wednesday, delivered Friday). The service is tracked but does not require a signature; you have the opportunity to record a safe place where your parcel can be left if you are not at home. We are still accepting orders for overseas posting but there continue to be delivery delays to countries outside the UK. Please bear this in mind when ordering; if you are in a hurry for your order PLEASE LET US KNOW so that we can discuss options.

We offer a 30 day return guarantee, with full refund including shipping costs for up to 30 days after delivery if an item arrives damaged or has been mis-described. For items returned for other reasons, we regret we cannot refund postage.
