In the dust jacket, with a couple of 3/4" closed tears to the top edge of the rear panel (neatly backed with 2 miniscule pieces of tape). An account of the crucial search for water in the Southwest, written by the great-great-grandson of Remi Nadeau, a leader in California's development and the man who built the first four-story building in Los Angeles- the Nadeau Hotel.
