Binding is tight and square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean, with clean map-illustrated endpapers. Drawings by Jo Spier. 276 pages. Dust jacket illustrated by Jo Spier is clean, not price clipped (5.95 on front inside flap), has very shallow chipping at spine ends (1/4") and tiny chip to one corner. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. Remarkable voyage by the author on the full route of the Intracoastal Waterway, through the bayous of Louisiana to New Orleans, along the coast of Mississippi, Alabama and Florida to Apalachicola, across the Gulf to Clearwater, through the Florida jungle by way of the Caloosahatchee River and Lake Okeechobee to the heart of the mysterious Everglades; then up the East Coast, through the water-wilderness of Georgia and te Carolinas, up Chesapeake Bay, down Delaware Bay and through the creeks and lagoons of New Jersey to New York; finally up Long Island Sound to the Nantucket Island..
