New York: Knopf, 1960. First edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very good. A supposed achaeological expedition in the year 7956 finds remnants of a civilization from 6000 years in the past in the. "Great West, or Salt, Continent". This 56-page fun satire about the interpretations of the artifacts combined two stories by Nathan published in Harpers Magazine in 1956, which were made into a great 1956 play on the Columbia Radio Workshop. Small rubs on board corners. Dust jacket has age toning and some rubs on spine. Dust jacket has the $1.50 price intact on the flap.
