About This Item
New York: The Viking Press, 1948. Book is fifth printing [1948], good condition, in a fair second printing dustjacket. Delightful story about a Scottish boy who couldn't decide whether to be a Highlander or Lowlander but wound up being welcomed by both, by virtue of playing the biggest bagpipes in all of Scotland. Tan cloth, pictorial endpapers, unpaginated (about sixty pages), printed dustjacket. Some light external wear and a bit of soil, good hinges, pages mainly quite clean with bit of light fingerprinting to the margins, no names or other markings, no chips or tears. The mylar protected dustjacket has numerous chips and tears, with the largest one at the front, about five to ten percent paper loss overall. . Fifth Printing. Hard Cover. Good/Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
