About This Item

London: Partridge / Edinburgh: Duncan, 1894 - 1897.. This is a group of issues in their original pictorial wrappers, stapled. There are 16 issues, 15 different (one is a duplicate). Some chipping to edges and spine wear, some splitting along spines, generally very good. Very fragile. Present are: Vol. V, No. 1 // Vol. V, No. 12 (with Index outer wrapper) // Vol. VI, numbers 1-12 // Vol. VI, No. 13 (two copies, one with Index outer wrapper) // Vol. VII, No. 1. Lady Marjorie Gordon, later Baroness Pentland, founded Wee Willie Winkie in 1891, at the age of eleven. Issues in original wrappers are uncommon.
