THIRD ENLARGED EDITION 1886 (first published in 1865), German text, 8vo, 36 illustrations in the text, 2 full page, pages: xvi, 620, bound in the original publisher's green cloth, gilt and blind ruled border to upper cover with gilt lettering and inner border of gilt and black vine, gilt and black decoration to spine with gilt bunch of grapes, gilt lettering and small gilt publisher's device at tail of spine, all edges red, brown and buff patterned endpapers. Head and tail of spine and hinges slightly worn, tiny split at foot of upper hinge and another at tail of spine, corners slightly rubbed, tiny binder's ticket to front and rear pastedown, no inscriptions, very small pale mark on 3 lower margins. A very good copy. Chapters on German wines, Austro-Hungarian, Swiss, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Madeira, Russian, Asian, African, American, and Australian.
