Each of them has prepared for this volume an article which adds a new dimension to areas of Canadian history in which Dr. Morton specialized: western Canadian history from the earliest explorations to the protest movements of the twenties and thirties, the history of the Conservative Party, and the role of the monarchy in Canadian life.
