About This Item

New York, NY: Arbor House. Very Good in Very Good- dust jacket. 1976. 1st Edition Thus; 1st Printing. Hardcover. 0877951195 . This book is in Very Good condition and has a Very Good- dust jacket. The book is in generally clean condition, but there is a slant to the spine of the book, along with some light bumping and wear to the spine ends and corners. The text pages are clean and bright. There is an embossed previous owner's initials stamped onto the title page. The dust jacket is generally clean, but has several small edge tears, and nicks. There is a small tidemark to the bottom rear panel of the dust jacket. "Wilson published 15 books, including the bestsellers The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit (1955) and A Summer Place (1958) , both of which were adapted into feature films. A later novel, A Sense of Values, in which protagonist Nathan Bond is a disenchanted cartoonist involved with adultery and alcoholism, was not well received. In Georgie Winthrop, a 45-year-old college vice president begins a relationship with the 17-year-old daughter of his childhood love. The novel The Ice Brothers is loosely based on Wilson's experiences in Greenland while serving with the United States Coast Guard. The memoir What Shall We Wear to This Party? Recalls his experiences in the Coast Guard during World War II and the changes to his life after the bestseller Gray Flannel was published. "(from Wikipedia) .
