Printed/pictorial dj; spine and edges lightly toned/dusted, else good. At dawn, Aug 19, 1942, Operation Jubilee was launched: the British landing at Dieppe, France. The raid was disasterous: 6,000 British troops landed, but less 2,000 were evacuted. The raid at Dieppe has been rationalized as the testing ground for the Normandy invasion in 1944.. First American Edition. Paper Boards. Near Fine/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
