Octavo, x, 131pp. Brown cloth, title printed on spine. Stated "third impression" on copyright page. In publisher's dust jacket, $4.00 on front flap, a few closed tears, small chips to corners, faint shelf wear, small stain visible at bottom of verso. Complete with eleven illustrations. Previous ownership inscription and stamp by architectural engineer Robert Franklin Hutchinson on front free endpaper. (Sweeney 609). This is the revised and expanded version of The Disappearing City, originally written and published in 1932. Wright's illustrations and words "reflect the architect's continuing dissatisfaction with centralization and the economic basis of our society." (Sweeney 609).
