Beige cloth covered boards with green print on the spine and full color illustration pasted on front panel. Front paste down has prior owner's name; front free end paper has informative description cut from dust jacket pasted in. Front hinge weak, webbing showing. Color frontispiece tipped in. Pages are umarked, with many illustrations; but have some dirty fingerprints and spots. Grosset and Dunlap hard cover, missing dust jacket, 1908 copyright but no printing date stated; 354 pages. Black and white illustrations by Harrison Fisher and Mayo Bunker. 12mo (5.25"" x 7.5"") Romantic comedy with mystery overtones. The plot unfolds as several Bright Young characters suddenly find themselves sequestered in a large house under quarantine because the butler has just been stricken with smallpox.
