About This Item
Philadelphia: J. B. Lippincott. Very Good in Very Good dust jacket. 1941. Hardcover. [22] p. 29 cm. Sound and square binding in red, cloth-covered board with colour pastedown illustration to upper board. Some corners are worn through, but all show some degrees of wear. A few stain marks on the boards. This book belonged to a school library and has a stamp on the front free endpaper, but this is the only library indicator I see. The endpapers do have tape shadow marks where its jacket was taped down. Otherwise, the inside pages are clean and unmarked. The dustjacket has some edgewear and the spine is somewhat faded. There are tape shadow marks on the flaps. It is price clipped. Based on a German picture book, this is an English edition which tells the story of the root children and their activities as they pass through the seasons. Full page colour illustrations by the original German artist Sibylle V. Offers. Ex-Library .
