Includes chapters and maps on the Pacific Railroad as well as individual states and territories: California/Nevada, Oregon, Washington Territory, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Eastern & Western Virginia, North & South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee/Kentucky, Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas. The folding map of the United States is wrinkled but complete. All other maps and plates called for are present. Bound in terracotta grained cloth, gilt lettering and cover picture. 9" x 5.75". Spine ends and corners worn. Scattered, light foxing. Text block is sound.
