About This Item
Boston: Little Brown & Co., 1958. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. This is a stated first edition. The interior of the book is crisp and tight, with no marks or signatures, and very few signs of previous use. The illustrated yellow covers are bright, with light wear at edges and corners. The rear panel of the dust jacket has a notice that the book is "An approved selection of Parents' Magazine's Book Club for Beginning Readers." The jacket is only in Good condition, with light edgewear, folds and shallow chips. The attached pictures should give a better idea of condition. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synopsis: When Mrs. Coverlet had to go away unexpectedly, leaving the children unsupervised, the young Persevers -- Malcolm of the complicated conscience, practical Molly, and Toad (short for Theobald) -- launched into a series of adventures and close calls, especially when their funds ran low.
