About This Item
Publisher: Gill, 1894
Used - Good, Graded good but many would grade it Very Good. Green board decorated with gilt whippets and author's name plus some half-tone whippets in lighter green. End pages are decorated with UG monograms of the publisher Upcott Gill. Corners bumped. vi, contents page, prelims 199 text pages. ad, index p201-204,, 11 numbered pages of catalogue, 4 pages ads. Six sepia plates of whippets as show and race dogs. When I check WORLDCAT, I learn that copies of this first edition exist in some UK and US libraries but not in Canada. One Canadian library has a later reprint. And that's it. This not the cheapest offered at the the moment but is far the best.
