Red cloth portfolio with gilt titling on upper cover and 18 concertina-fold leaves, each with a captioned lithographic scene or view. A few leaves with old misfolds, not affecting images; Near Fine.
View book of the White Mountain scenery and resorts of New Hampshire. The view book's leaves fold out into a continuous strip showing 18 lithographic views in central New Hampshire printed in Leipzig, Germany by Louis Glaser. These views include the Mount Washington Range, Crawford Notch, Franconia Notch, Bethlehem, Littleton, North Conway, Echo Lake, Lake Winnipesaukee, and various railroad views. Hotels or resorts shown include Fabyan House, Glen House, Profile House, and the Maplewood Hotel. A superb copy.
