About This Item

Wonderful novel about contemporary ( " contemporary " in 1908 ) romance of a bachelor who pursues the affections of a widow. Partial Review: " Helen Rowland has written a book that will be relished by all men and women who have a taste for the chase. She has a most intimate knowledge on many subjects, men, women, marriage and the game of love. Her sayings are on the lips of the reader for days after finishing the book. " " Widow [ To Say Nothing Of The Man ] " By Helen Rowland Publishers: Dodge Publishing Company Copyright: 1908 Illustrated By: Esther P. Hill SCARCE 1st Edition Hard Back. Grey Cloth. The Grey Cloth is not made with gray thread. It is white cloth with gray ink on top. So abrasions show easier than on most books. Title and illustration embossed on the front cover. The Book is in good shape. The Bindings are tight with No Rips or Tears. The Front & Back covers of the book are in good shape. All of the corners of the book are in good shape. There is some shelf wear ( the Grey is ink on white Cloth ). The top and front edges of the pages are in good shape. All the endpapers and pages are clean. There are no page stains, but most pages have a light tan tint around the edges. The owners name is written on the front pastedown.
