About This Item
London: Collins, 1943. Hardcover with dust jacket, third impression 1947, 48 pages "With 8 plates in colour and 28 illustrations in black & white"; only light shelf wear to cover edges, corners and spine ends, otherwise very gently used, tight in sewn binding, no markings of previous owners, but the pale green and white covers show light foxing to white parts and heavy foxing to all four endpapers and two or three adjacent pages, and scattered light foxing to numerous pages (foxing, but no aromas); heavy foxing to DJ, gentle bumping along top edge with two immeasurably tiny chips/tears. See also our other Britain in Pictures titles, and Jane Brown's The Pursuit of Paradise: A Social History of Gardens and Gardening, and this, just in, Josephine Addison's Treasury of Flower Lore, with watercolour paintings by Cherry Hillhouse, as well as for Stephen Dealler's extremely scarce Wild Flowers for the Garden (buy two or more and save on postage!)... Hard Cover. Good/Good.
