Hardback, bound in quarter grey cloth with gilt titling to spine and green cloth covered boards. 23.5 × 15cm, 268pp. The struggle of a motherless fox cub to survive in the English wilds of 1938, beautifully illustrated by the author (as Watkins-Pitchford.) Condition: The cloth boards are rubbed and a bit grubby. The pages edges and endpapers are foxed but the main body of text is in better condition with secure binding and clean pages. A better-than-good reading copy.
