This is the first comprehensive survey of the world's wild sheep written by a zoologist since 1898. More than 12 years of field and laboratory research went into its preparation. It includes the classification, anatomical attributes, distribution, life histories and geographical diversity of the wild sheep of the world. Every sheep species is illustrated with several photographs including several pages in full color and the horn and pelage characteristics of every subspecies. There is also a chapter on hunting by John H. Batten. Bound in brown leather-like cloth pictorially stamped in black depicting a wild sheep. spine lettering black, two lightly bumped corners, near fine in very nice unclipped dust jacket with a bit of finger soiling.
