This is a Sundance Bicentennial Commemorative edition of 76 photographs taken by William Henry Jackson who was a photographer/publicist for the Colorado railroads in the late 1800s. Many of the sepiatone views reproduced here came from the collection of 300 very large (16"x20" and 20"x 24") glass plate negatives at the Colorado State Museum in Denver. Due to the size of these plates and the fine grain of the emulsion, these photographs are of outstanding quality and clarity and demonstrate very clearly the scenery of Colorado and the power of the railroads to publicize Colorado as a travel site on their railroad. Each photograph is accompanied by a detailed description of its railroad, and the location of the shooting. A clean very presentable copy. No International Shipping.
