G. Bell & Sons. Ltd. London. 1911. FIRST EDITION. 8vo. (7.6 x 5.5 inches). x, 278pp, 2 (advert leaf). Red and black decorative title page, portrait of William Morris, from a photo by Emery Walker, and 54 mono illustrations, including some drawings by Crane. Publishers blue cloth with decoration and lettering in white to both boards and spine. Small dent to the bottom of the rear board. Some minor foxing to the fore edges but this is a lovely clean and unread copy, with some page gatherings still unopened. In the rare original fawn paper dustwrapper which reproduces the designs and lettering on the book in red. Publishers adverts on the Inner flaps. Some darkening to the spine and chipping to the edges but overall a very good example and rare thus.
