Inscribed By Author 302pp. Inscribed by author to the front end paper to Walter Hodges. This book has come out of the Walter Hodges library. Walter Hodges was born on the 18th March 1909. He became a free-lance writer, book illustrator, theatrical historian and designer. He designed sets for The Mermaid Theatre, St. George's Theatre and was the co-ordinator for the symposium for the reconstruction of The Globe Playhouse. In 1965 he was awarded the Kate Greenaway medal for illustration. He wrote numerous books on theatre - a number of which were on Shakespearean theatre. Dust wrapper not price clipped. Sunning to the spine of the book. Light shelf wear to the edges of the wrapper with a few tiny nicks to the edges. Light foxing to the wrapper and the front end paper. Two corners lightly bumped, under the wrapper. Numerous photographic plates illustrate the text. A very good copy
